Care and tips for this toy

Silicone

Clean

  1. 1Rinse with warm, not hot, water soon after use.
  2. 2Wash with mild unscented soap or toy cleaner. Use a soft brush on ridges and textures.
  3. 3Rinse until it no longer feels slippery. Soap residue irritates.

Dry and store

  1. 1Pat dry with a lint-free cloth, then let it air-dry fully.
  2. 2Keep it in its own breathable fabric pouch, not touching other toys.
  3. 3Store cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.

Avoid

  1. Silicone lube. It can leave the surface tacky. Use water-based.
  2. Dish soap and scented or harsh antibacterial soaps.
  3. Sealed plastic bags and humid bathrooms.

Speech, never breathing

The nose must stay clear. Agree a tap or dropped-object signal first, start with 2 to 3 minutes, and build up slowly.

What does a sensory deprivation hood do? A sensory hood works by removing some senses so the remaining ones feel stronger. This one covers the whole head. Sight is blocked completely and sound is reduced to a muffle. Touch is left as the main sense, so every contact from a partner registers more sharply. The Drone hood adds a gag that holds the mouth open with a tunnel through the middle. Hoods like this are for trusting, negotiated play and need a partner present the whole time.

Drone hood: sight out, sound muffled, mouth held open

The Drone hood from Master Series is a one-piece silicone hood in matte black that covers the whole head. It has pup ears on top and the word DRONE printed across the face in red. Measured flat, the hood is 11.25 inches long and 9.75 inches wide, and the silicone stretches to fit most head sizes.

Inside the mouth is a gag 3.1 inches long that props the jaw open. A tunnel runs through it, 1.4 inches wide and textured all the way down. The silicone is phthalate-free and built to stand up to being pulled on and off repeatedly.

Best for: For experienced players who enjoy sensory deprivation, pup play or drone and objectification scenes with a trusted partner. It is not a beginner item: the wearer cannot see or speak, so both people need clear non-verbal signals agreed in advance.

How to use

Agree on limits and a non-verbal stop signal first, such as dropping a held object or tapping three times, because the wearer will not be able to speak or see. Stretch the hood open and line the gag up with the mouth before pulling the silicone past the ears; once it is on, the gag cannot be moved without removing the hood. Smooth the hood down and check that the wearer is breathing comfortably through the tunnel. Start with a few minutes. The partner must stay within reach the entire time and remove the hood at once if the wearer signals or seems distressed.

Care

  • Wash inside and out with warm water and toy cleaner after each use.
  • Clean the gag and the textured tunnel thoroughly.
  • Pat dry and let the inside air fully before storing.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep it separate from other toys and away from sharp objects.

Frequently asked questions

Can the wearer breathe in it?

The gag has an open tunnel 1.4 inches wide through the mouth, and the distributor says air moves through the hood. Even so, never use it alone, check breathing often, and take it off immediately at any sign of difficulty or panic.

Will it fit my head?

The hood measures 11.25 by 9.75 inches laid flat and the silicone stretches. The distributor says it fits most head sizes. No head circumference range is given, so very large or very small heads may find the fit off.

How long can it be worn?

The distributor says an hour inside stays comfortable. Treat that as an upper figure, not a target. Begin with short sessions, build up slowly, and always have a partner present who can remove it quickly.

Can the gag be removed?

The facts describe the gag as sitting inside the hood and do not say it comes out. Plan on it being a fixed part. It is 3.1 inches long, so the wearer should be comfortable with an open-mouth gag.

What is it made of?

Phthalate-free silicone with a matte black finish. Silicone is non-porous and easy to wash with warm water and toy cleaner. Dry the inside well, as moisture trapped in a hood can go stale.
