What is iroha, and how is it different from a typical vibrator? iroha is the line of vibrators for women made by Tenga, the Japanese company known for its sleeves. Where most vibrators have a thin silicone skin over a hard shell, iroha products use a thick layer of very soft silicone that gives when you press it, closer to the feel of a fingertip than a device. Shapes are rounded and compact, and each is run with one button. The iroha+ series adds more defined edges for firmer, more focused contact.
iroha+ Kushi: soft ribs and a tapered tip in one small shape
iroha+ Kushi is a compact vibrator from Tenga's iroha line. Its upper side carries a row of raised ribs that give a rolling, changing sensation as you move it, and one end narrows to a point for lighter, more precise teasing. The whole body is covered in iroha's soft-touch silicone, with the sharper contours that set the iroha+ series apart from the original, rounder iroha.
A single button steps through five vibration strengths and the pulse patterns. It runs for about 60 minutes on a charge and recharges when placed in its storage case, which connects by USB. It is waterproof to 20 inches, so it can go in the bath or shower.
Best for: Suits anyone who wants a small, soft vibrator for external use on the clitoris, vulva or other sensitive areas, and who likes texture as well as vibration. The simple one-button control makes it approachable for a first vibrator, and its size makes it easy to hold between partners.

How to use
Before first use, place the Kushi in its case, connect the USB cord and let it charge for about two hours. Press the button to switch it on at the lowest strength, and press again to step up through the five levels and into the pulse patterns. Start with the broad, ribbed side resting against the body and move it slowly so the ribs do the work. Turn it and use the tapered end when you want a lighter, more exact touch. A little water-based lubricant makes the silicone glide more easily. Hold the button to switch it off.
Care
- Use water-based lubricant only; silicone lubricant can damage the soft-touch surface.
- Wash with mild soap and lukewarm water after use, or use a toy cleaner, and pat dry.
- Never boil it or put it in a dishwasher.
- Make sure it is dry before placing it back in the charging case.
- Store it in its case, away from other silicone toys.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between iroha and iroha+?
The original iroha shapes are smooth and rounded for soft, broad contact. The iroha+ series keeps the same soft-touch silicone but adds more defined edges, ribs and points, so the stimulation feels stronger and more targeted. iroha+ also offers five vibration strengths.
Is the Kushi meant for internal use?
It is designed as an external massager. The compact, rounded body is shaped to be held in the palm and pressed or stroked against the clitoris and surrounding area, and the tapered tip is for teasing rather than insertion.
Can I use it in the bath?
Yes. Tenga rates it as waterproof up to 20 inches, so it is fine in the bath or shower and can be rinsed under running water. Dry it well before returning it to the charging case.
How do I charge it?
There is no socket on the vibrator itself. You place it in the supplied case and connect the case to a USB power source with the cord provided. A full charge takes about 120 minutes and gives roughly 60 minutes of use.
Is it a good first vibrator?
It can be. It is small, soft to the touch and controlled with one button, and the lowest of the five strengths is gentle. The ribs and tip add variety without any complicated settings to learn.
