What is a wand massager and how is it different from other vibrators? A wand massager has a long handle and a large, rounded head on a flexible neck. The motor sits in the head, and the broad surface spreads a deep, rumbling vibration over a wide area rather than a single point. That makes wands popular for clitoral and vulva stimulation, and equally useful on the penis, nipples or tight muscles. The handle gives reach, so a wand is easy to hold in place during sex or to hand to a partner.
Le Wand Petite: full wand power in a travel-friendly size
Le Wand Petite is the compact, cordless member of the Le Wand family. It is 10 in long with a soft silicone head 1.71 in across, set on a flexible neck that lets the head follow the body's shape. Three buttons control it: plus and minus move through 10 vibration intensities, and the middle button changes between 6 patterns. The vibration is concentrated in the head.
At 7.6 oz it is light enough to hold for a full session and small enough for a weekend bag. It recharges by USB in about 2 hours for up to 1 hour of use, is splashproof for the shower, and has a travel lock. A travel case is included.
Best for: People new to wands, travelers, and anyone who finds full-size wands heavy. It is designed for external use on the clitoris, vulva, penis or muscles, solo or with a partner. With a Le Wand Petite attachment fitted, it can also be used internally.

How to use
Before first use, charge the wand for about 2 hours with the USB cable. The light flashes while charging and turns solid when full. Wipe the head clean. Press plus to switch on, then use plus and minus to move through the 10 intensities. Press the middle button to change pattern. Rest the head against the outside of the body, over underwear at first if you are sensitive, and add water-based lubricant for glide. Hold minus until the light goes out to switch off. To lock for travel, hold plus and minus together for three seconds, and repeat to release.
Care
- Use water-based lubricant on the silicone head. Avoid silicone lubricant.
- Clean the head with mild antibacterial soap and warm water or a toy cleaner. Take care around the charging port.
- Do not submerge, boil or put it in a dishwasher. It is splashproof only.
- Make sure the charging port is dry before plugging in, and unplug once charged.
- Air dry and store in the travel case with the travel lock on.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Le Wand Petite and the original Le Wand?
The Petite is 10 in long and 7.6 oz, with 10 intensities, 6 patterns and up to 1 hour of use. The original Le Wand Rechargeable is 13.4 in long and 1.48 lb, with 10 intensities, 20 patterns and up to 3 hours of use. The Petite is easier to hold and pack.
Is Le Wand Petite waterproof?
It is splashproof and safe to use in the shower, but it is not designed to be submerged, so do not take it into the bath. Always check that the charging port is completely dry before you plug it in.
How loud is it?
Le Wand lists the maximum noise level as under 72 dB, which is the figure at the highest setting. The maker does not publish figures for the lower settings. If noise matters to you, start on the lowest of the 10 intensities and work up only as far as you need.
How long does the battery last?
A full charge takes about 2 hours and gives up to 1 hour of use. A rapidly flashing light means the battery is low. The user guide also advises against running the wand for more than 15 minutes without a break, and suggests letting it rest for 30 minutes afterward.
Can Le Wand Petite be used internally?
Not on its own. The wand is made for external stimulation. Le Wand sells Petite attachments, such as the Petite Curve and Petite Ripple, that fit over the head and add an insertable silicone arm. Attachments for the full-size Le Wand do not fit the Petite.
