Care and tips for this toy

The two-finger rule

Two fingers should slide under the strap. Check in every 10 to 20 minutes and release at numbness or sharp pain. With metal cuffs, set the double lock and keep a spare key in reach.

How does a neck and wrist restraint work? A neck and wrist restraint joins a collar to a pair of wrist cuffs with a strap between them, so the wearer's own body holds them in position. No bed frame or anchor point is needed. The Saffron version has a central strap, which its maker calls the spine. It can run down the chest, with the hands held in front, or down the back, with the hands behind. The wrists clip in and out, so the position can be changed quickly.

Saffron Neck and Wrist Restraint: no anchor point needed

The Saffron Neck and Wrist Restraint is a one-piece bondage restraint from the Saffron collection by Sportsheets. It fastens at the neck, and a central strap, the spine, runs down the body to the wrists. You choose whether the spine sits at the front or the back, then clip the wrists in place. The wearer's own body does the restraining.

Because nothing is tied to furniture, it can be used anywhere, standing, kneeling or lying down. It pairs with the Saffron gags and blindfold for a fuller scene.

Best for: For couples who want a restraint that needs no bed frame or door. It suits those who already enjoy cuffs and want a more committed position, with the hands held in front or behind the back. Not a first restraint for someone nervous about collars.

How to use

Agree on a safe word and decide whether the hands will be in front or behind. Fasten the collar first, leaving room for two fingers between it and the neck. Lay the spine strap down the chest or the back, then fasten the wrists and clip them on. Check that the wearer can breathe and swallow easily and that pulling on the wrists does not tighten the collar against the throat. Keep the wearer on a stable surface, stay with them and release the clips at once if hands tingle or go numb.

Care

  • Wipe the straps with a damp cloth and a little mild soap after use.
  • Dry with a soft towel and let it air. Do not soak it or machine wash it.
  • Hang it or lay it flat with the buckles open.
  • Check the clips, buckles and stitching before each use.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be worn with the hands in front and behind?

Yes. The maker says the spine can be positioned down the front or the back of the body. Worn at the front, the hands rest against the chest or stomach. Worn at the back, they are held behind.

Do I need a bed frame or anchor point?

No. The restraint connects the neck and wrists to each other, so the wearer's body is the anchor. That means it can be used in any room and in standing, kneeling or lying positions.

Is it safe to pull on the restraint?

Do not lift, pull or lead a person by a restraint that is attached to the neck. Keep the collar loose enough for two fingers, never attach it to a fixed point, and never leave the wearer alone.

What size does it fit and what is it made of?

The facts available do not give the materials, the collar range or the strap lengths. The maker's wording suggests buckle fastenings, but we cannot confirm sizes. Check the packaging if fit is a concern.
