Care and tips for this toy

The two-finger rule

Two fingers should slide under the strap. Check in every 10 to 20 minutes and release at numbness or sharp pain. With metal cuffs, set the double lock and keep a spare key in reach.

Are Velcro cuffs strong enough for bondage? For light restraint, yes. Velcro grips across the full width of the strap, so it holds well against a straight pull. These cuffs back that up with a nylon core under the velvet. The advantage over buckles and locks is speed. A Velcro cuff opens in a second with one hand and needs no key, which matters if someone feels numb, panicked or cramped. That quick release is the reason soft Velcro cuffs are a common first set.

Wrist to Ankle Restraints: soft cuffs that come off fast

The Wrist to Ankle Restraints from the Bedroom Bliss Signature Collection are a set of soft cuffs for wrists and ankles. Each cuff has a strong nylon structure covered in polyester velvet, so it is gentle on the skin but sturdy in use. Velcro closures fasten and release in seconds. The wrist cuffs adjust up to 14.5 inches around and the ankle cuffs up to 19 inches.

They come in black and gray. Unlike leather cuffs, which have to be wiped down by hand, these are machine washable. Put them through a cold cycle after a long, sweaty session and they are fresh for the next one. There are no keys or buckles to deal with.

Best for: For couples trying restraint for the first time and for anyone who wants cuffs that are comfortable and quick to remove. The generous size range fits a wide spread of wrists and ankles. They suit light bondage, not suspension or heavy struggling.

How to use

Agree on a safe word and on limits before you begin. Wrap a cuff around each wrist and ankle and press the Velcro closed. It should be snug, with room to slide a finger between the cuff and the skin. Check that hands and feet stay warm and have normal feeling. Never leave a restrained person alone, and do not use the cuffs to bear body weight. To release, peel the Velcro tab back. Remove the cuffs at once if there is any tingling, numbness or color change in the skin.

Care

  • Machine wash on a cold cycle.
  • Close the Velcro before washing so it does not catch on other fabric.
  • Let the cuffs air dry fully before storing.
  • Pick lint out of the Velcro now and then so it keeps its grip.
  • Inspect the stitching and closures before each use.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes do the cuffs fit?

The wrist cuffs adjust up to 14.5 inches in circumference and the ankle cuffs up to 19 inches. The Velcro lets you close them at any point below that, so they fit most adult wrists and ankles.

Are they good for beginners?

Yes. The distributor recommends them for beginners and lists them in its beginner bondage range. They are soft against the skin, need no keys or buckles, and come off in a matter of seconds.

How do I clean them?

Put them in the washing machine on a cold cycle. The distributor highlights this as a main benefit over cuffs that have to be cleaned by hand after a sweaty scene.

Can the wearer get out of them?

The distributor says the Velcro is strong enough to keep a partner restrained yet easy to get out of. Treat them as light restraints that are designed to open quickly, not as escape-proof gear.

What are they made of?

The cuffs are nylon covered with polyester velvet and fasten with Velcro. They come in black and gray. There is no leather, and the facts mention no metal buckles or locks.
